Are you brave enough to spend a night on a ghost hunt and sleepover at Bron y Garth hospital and former workhouse? Bron y Garth Hospital, situated near Porthmadog, North Wales, lies in a state of disrepair since it’s closure in 2009. The hospital began as the Ffestiniog union workhouse constructed in 1839, where conditions were harsh. Workers were expected to sleep on wire beds in cells and work long hours breaking stones to earn their food.
Many original features remain in this creepy location including the abandoned hospital furniture, decaying fixtures and fittings that resound the use of the site as an NHS hospital. This is not somewhere to walk around alone!
A ghost hunt at Bron y Garth is not for the faint hearted. This is a huge location to investigate with several floors, sprawling corridors and countless creepy, derelict rooms; including the workers cell block and even a mortuary!
Spend 12 hours at Bron y Garth hospital on an overnight ghost hunt and sleepover with Haunted Houses Events, your ghost hunt runs from 9pm -3am, with the option to sleepover over until 9am the following day. After the ghost hunt is finished you can test your nerve by trying to sleep in one of the many eerie rooms or continue your own investigation until 9am. The choice is yours!

Your Event
On a ghost hunt with Haunted Houses you will have exclusive access to all permissible areara of the building open to us during the evening. You will learn all about ghost hunting and the techniques used to encourage paranormal activity. We have a whole host of scientific ghost hunt equipment for you to use to aid communication with the spirits. You can take part in Ouija boards, glass divination and table tipping; the more traditional ghost hunt techniques. Or simply sitting in the dark and asking for the spirits to interact with you. Lone vigils (ghost hunting alone) will also be offered where available. During your evening you will be split into smaller groups so you can get the most out of your experience. If you are new to ghost hunting we warn you now – by the end of the night you may just become addicted to the fascinating and intriguing world of ghost hunting.
