Before you embark on a thrilling adventure on a Bursledon Brickworks ghost hunt, you will need to leave your fear at the door. Take part in this exhilarating journey as you explore all of the haunted corridors of the Brickworks. Nestled in Southampton’s renowned historic district, this 19th-century relic holds many untold secrets waiting to be unearthed. Journey through the workshops and outbuildings to uncover the captivating tales and investigate the dark crevices to discover what mysterious entities linger in the shadows. Who or what awaits in the darkness of this long-haunted and undeniably active site?
As you explore Bursledon Brickworks during the Haunted Houses Events, you might witness footsteps echoing off the cobblestones, whistling bouncing through the yard, conversations in the darkness, the sound of knocking that might surprise you, and a looming, dark figure that could take you by surprise. Will you encounter a spirit or ghost during your visit?
We will explore all accessible parts of the Burlsedon Brickworks in Southampton to hunt ghosts. While you are there, you can use classic ghost hunting techniques such as glass divination, table tipping, and a human pendulum experiment to connect with the otherworld. Plus, Ouija boards will be available to those who feel comfortable using them. We also have the most up-to-date ghost hunting gadgets to assist you. Small teams are created to get the best possible experience. For those with bravery, solitary vigils are a great way to perhaps encounter spirits.

- Learn about various ghost hunting techniques and try them out for yourself on your investigation or share any knowledge you already possess to aid the investigation
- Discover more about the high-tech ghost hunting gadgets. Many as seen on T.V, hold them in your hands and freely use them
- Take part! Help to lead a scientific vigil, or perhaps a more traditional ghost hunting experiment- or simply just be an observer. The choice is yours
- Working respectfully. Start your evening by learning how to apply spiritual protection, and work using the upmost respect for the sprits we encounter and fellow guests
- Lone vigils (ghost hunting in an area all alone) can be made available for the brave
- You may hold your place with a £20 deposit, and pay you balance four weeks before your event
- The locations owner has stated Ouija Boards are not permitted at this location sorry
- All attendees must be 16 years or older
- Not suitable for those in pregnancy
- This is a very dark location, all attendees must bring a torch with them
- All attendees are expected to wear sensible shoes and warm layered clothing
- The main museum entrance is on the left hand side of Swanwick Lane, driving north, between the railway and motorway bridges (satnav code is roughly SO31 7HB)
- We are using what3words to make it easier for everyone to access the museum (especially as we have two gates!!) This is the right one to use: rats.showering.overused it’s our main gate off Swanwick Lane
- Refreshments are provided by Haunted Houses Events and are included in the price
- This is not a sleepover event
- This location is not suitable for wheelchair users
- The museum is an old industrial building and the floors can be uneven. Much of the ground floor is accessible for wheelchairs.

DEPOSIT PAYMENT TERMS – Final balances to be paid 28 days (4 weeks) before the event.
CANCELLATIONS – All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Ensure you are available to attend this date before booking
We offer two ways to book online. Either using our deposit option, or paying in full.
Deposit option
We offer a £20 per person deposit option on most of our events priced over £30. If you choose this option, this payment will hold your place(s) for you.
You will then be asked to pay your final balance four weeks before your event. Look out for our reminder emails sent 5 weeks before, and again on the due date giving you a link to your account to make payment. You pay by logging into your account that you will create with this booking.
You must remember a deposit payment is just a holding payment of those places. To confirm your booking, you must make the balance payment on time. If you fail to make the payment you may be at risk of losing the places held and the deposit paid.
If your chosen event is taking place in less than 30 days – our deposit option is unavailable sorry.
Full Payment
A full payment option will guarantee your booking right away. You will receive an email firstly saying your booking is processing, and once we have transferred your names to our guest list, we will send a second email letting you know your booking has been confirmed.
All our events are ticketless as we take guests names at the time of booking. All we ask is that each guest signs in on arrival against their names to gain access.
We will email you, the main booker, with all your event details usually 7 – 5 days before your event. This will confirm the names we have on the guest list for your party, as well as giving you parking directions, listing what basics you need to bring with you, and confirming addresses and times etc…
We will also provide to you an emergency contact number should there be any issues finding us, or you are running late.
