My custom will certainly be returning, I had a fantastic time at The Commandery! I’ve been with several companies over the 10 years I’ve been doing this and by a very far stretch you guys are much, much better. I spoke to the blonde haired lady on the night (I’m terrible with names) and said how much better this is run. Less breaks, more time exploring. Acess to equipment and knowledge. Much smaller groups which makes a huge difference to the experience! Id say around 80% of the explores I’ve been on, there’s been around 40-60 people, and its just far too much!! The staff on the night were fab as well! Really friendly and knowledgeable and all round make the whole experience brilliant!

I recently attended my first-ever ghost hunt at Shrewsbury Prison with Haunted Houses Events, and I have to say—it was an unforgettable experience! As someone who has always been curious about the paranormal but never had the chance to explore it properly, I wasn’t sure what to expect.

From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel so welcome. The staff were friendly, approachable, and incredibly knowledgeable about both the history of the prison and ghost hunting techniques. They took the time to explain everything to us, making sure everyone felt comfortable, especially first-timers like me.

One thing that really stood out was the huge selection of ghost hunting equipment we got to use throughout the night. I’d heard about things like K2 meters and spirit boxes, but I never imagined I’d actually get to try them out myself! The team explained how each piece worked and what to look out for, which made the experience feel really hands-on and engaging.

The atmosphere inside the prison was intense—especially when we explored the old cells in the dark! At one point, a group of us were using the Estes Method in one of the wings, and we had some really eerie and direct responses that gave everyone chills. I also witnessed some strange K2 activity in one of the solitary confinement cells, which left me questioning everything!

I went in as a complete sceptic, but after some of the things I experienced, I’m not so sure anymore! Whether you’re a believer or just curious, I highly recommend Haunted Houses Events for a professional, well-organised, and truly thrilling ghost hunt. I’ll definitely be booking again!

I attended the Ashwell Prison paranormal investigation on the 25th of November and despite doing investigations with my own equipment before, this investigation was definitely the most active i’ve done – from bangs and footsteps to receiving names, full sentences, screams and gunshots through the spirit box via the Estes Method. Not only was this the best investigation i’ve done by a mile, the staff were all so friendly, welcoming and supportive with the activities making everyone feel comfortable.
I cannot recommend this organisation enough, I will definitely be coming along to another one in the near future!

Our latest hunt was at Ashbourne Town Hall in Derbyshire, hosted by Kai and Neil, we had a brilliant night with these guys and look forward to joining haunted houses for all the future ghost hunts we have already booked and the ones we have yet to experience. Fantastic people, fantastic fun, enjoyed every minute from start to finish.

We investigated & stayed overnight at The Park Hotel last night, we had a fab time and enjoyed the light-heartedness style the Haunted Houses team takes, we’ve been on investigations before with other teams and have found some to be quite “strict” and a bit too serious for our liking, but our lead investigators Khai and Ben managed to keep the investigations serious but still to a point we could have a laugh at certain points. I like their approach of allowing us to decide what we wanted to do as they kept saying “it’s your night so you guys can decide what you’d like to do”. I also like their approach of thinking of rational explanations before instantly claiming it to be paranormal. And to top the night off – the cellar gave us some very spooky experiences/stories to tell😳 We will definitely tag along to future events and highly recommend this company to anyone, thanks guys!

I recently had the opportunity to join Haunted Houses Events on a ghost hunting experience at Woodchester Mansion in Gloucestershire, and it was a truly thrilling night. We stood within the spooky walls of the Mansion, and the stories about its paranormal activity have been told for generations. The atmosphere was truly eerie and mysterious as we set up our equipment and prepared for the night ahead. The tour guide was great, full of stories and knowledge about investigating and the hoped for activity of the Mansion. They also brought along all sorts of interesting tools, like EMF meters, Ouija boards and temperature gauges, that we could use to try and contact the ghosts that inhabit the Mansion. After a short introduction all the lights were turned off and it was time to start ghost hunting. We moved through each room, seeking out strange noises and fluctuations in temperature. Some members of our group even saw full apparitions. Although the experience was often intense, we always felt safe and secure under the guidance of our tour guide. Overall, this ghost hunting experience at Woodchester Mansion was amazing. I had such a great time, and it was definitely one of the most unique nights I’ve ever experienced. Highly recommend it and Haunted Houses Events to anyone looking for an interesting and scary evening!

It’s not often that one gets a chance to take part in a real ghost hunting experience, and when that opportunity arose to explore the Haunted Armley Mills in Leeds I jumped at it! From the moment I stepped foot in the eerie halls of the abandoned mills, I knew I was in for something extraordinary. The musty scent of age filled my nostrils as we ventured forth, guided by the knowledgeable Haunted Houses team. We had access to many different tools and instruments, like EMF detectors, tape recorders and flashlights, all to be used to capture any sort of paranormal activity we might come across. As the night went on, things began to get even more interesting. Doors creaked, steps sounded on the hard floor, and every now and then, what sounded like disembodied voices echoed through the hallways. We had to stay calm and be brave, but I could feel the excitement and tension radiating from our group. At one point, the darkness around us grew, until it seemed like all light was blocked out from the halls and passageways of the mill. I felt like I was frozen in time, stuck in a loop until the oppressive energy around us began to slowly dissipate. It was truly a remarkable experience. In the end, we all emerged feeling as though we had gone on a thrilling journey into the unknown. The Haunted Armley Mills was a fascinating and enlightening experience, and I look forward to being able to share the story of our adventure with everyone!

Last night myself, my sister and my cousin attended the Ghost Hunt at Ashwell Prison. I’ve been on one previous ghost hunt in the past, but this was a very different experience.

I’m always one that will try to debunk every bit of evidence, and always believe that someone is pushing a table or the glass on the Ouija board, but last night I experienced some things that just could not be explained.

Shout out to our guide Jason – he was awesome! I liked how he also made sure that any ‘ghostly’ happenings were genuine, and couldn’t be something else. When I’ve been on ghost hunts in the past, there has always been a medium there that tells you about the people that have passed, which then obviously sways the investigation, but Jason & Haunted Houses we’re not, they were there to guide us through the site, but didn’t know any more than we did. They also don’t go into the history of the site, or any past communication with spirits at that location, other than ‘it was a prison’, so again it doesn’t influence the hunt, which I personally think is great.

I had my first experience of the human pendulum which was absolute madness. I felt like I’d lost control of my legs, which is something I can’t explain, as it was happening to me!!

Table Tipping & Ouija Boards can always be ‘faked’, but during the last part of the ghost hunt, my sister & I had a message come through on a Ouija Board, spelling out my sisters name, and our family name, letter by letter. A long with some information about a family member we have never met, which we are confirming. No-one else on the hunt knew who we were, and we both stepped away from the board so we could show we weren’t influencing it. It’s not very often I’m left gobsmacked & speechless, but that done it for me, along with the K2 readings being off the scale in the same location.

I will still continue to try & explain things that happen, but last night definitely pushed me more towards the ‘believer’ side. My sister & I will now be making ghost hunts a regular occurrence with your company, and we are already looking forward to the next one! We hope to see Jason there too, as he really was awesome, and so excited by any activity witnessed.

I’ve always been weary of Ouija Boards, but I have to say last night I felt very safe. We did have one time where the name was spelling out ‘Zaza’ and immediately Jason took control and closed the board down. I was oblivious to what had happened, so he explained to me what it was, and why it was important it was dealt with. Even if it was another member of the group playing a joke (which I have a feeling it was), I’m glad Jason closed it down there and then.

The only tiny thing that would have made last night a little more interesting, would have been if we had more of an opportunity to split off on our own to explore the area we were in, as I believe with less people, more could have happened.

Thank you for a brilliant night, I wont be forgetting it for a long while!

This experience was a Christmas gift for my mom who is extremely interested in ghost shows. They did not disappoint! We went to Beaumanor Hall last night and had an absolute ball! Everyone was extremely welcoming and chatty and it was good vibes all around! Indya was our guide and she was fantastic at guiding us through the venue and not rushing us. I was honestly skeptical of the Victorian methods of contacting spirits but I was shocked at the responses we had with the glass divination! 100% will do again. I’m already looking at where to go next!

We spent the evening at Cogges Manor on Friday and had the most brilliant time! The event was really well organised throughout and we loved the huge range of investigative equipment that was available to explore. What made the investigation particularly exciting for us was that all who attended were both welcome to and encouraged to get stuck in when and if they wished (but no pressure if not) which made its really interactive. We want to say a huge thank you to both Cam and Jason who lead our group for the evening, they were really down to earth which eased the nerves and so knowledgeable about all things paranormal. Finally, the icing on the cake was the seance table that Cam had made. It proved to be really effective and the thought he’d put into making it, with the fact that we were visiting a Victorian building and that the spirits may relate to it as victorians were interested in spirituality and communicating with the dead was very impressive. We can’t wait to join everyone on another investigation very soon.

We attended the Ghosts, Myths & Legends weekend with the team. By far the best ghost hunting team around, felt more like meeting friends rather than paranormal guides. A beautiful picturesque location. The food catered was gorgeous, lots of choice in food and drink, we got waited on hand and foot with no help accepted from guests,very much worth the money, with the ghost hunt at Ford green hall included in the price which also was a very good night full of activity

We enjoyed it from start to finish.

The accommodation & it’s setting was absolutely wonderful, to be fair, we didn’t expect such luxury!

You pampered us all completely, we’ve never eaten so much. The food was lovely and so much of it. Next time and THERE will be one, you must get people to muck in and not let you wait on them hand and foot…there’s always some. You must be exhausted.

The whole weekend experience has been thoroughly enjoyable, we loved it!

Just a quick review of this crazy bunch.
From booking it late to turning up what a great bunch, they looked after me from the first minute.
They let your inner hunter come out and encourage you to step forward and get stuck in.
But if your quite happy to stand back and watch then you can but they will still involve you, had a great laugh using equipment, calling out and just getting stuck in.
If ya looking for a great night investigating look no further
I’ve used lots of teams but this lot are up there with my 5* teams and there few and far.
So keep it up you crazy bunch!

The night was fun and very intriguing. All was very relaxed until an actual heavy cell door SLAMMED shut in my face when I was doing a lone vigil on a locked off floor, there was nobody else around and all were accounted for. The door was certainly too heavy for any breezes to affect it. This experience has left this sceptic a full on believer!A great team of hosts who I shall return to visit most definitely. Where can I start, from arrival, to the running of the vigils to closing the night. The haunted houses team did the job, and did it well! It’s so great to find a team who are so genuine and relaxed when taking great care of the event, Our ghost hunt at the Galleries of justice with you was the best we’ve had yet and we have attended a lot of ghost hunts with other teams in the past!

Great fun but not so nice to feel like I was grabbed from behind by a forceful hand in the cellar. I was coming up the stairs and I was at the back of the group. There is no way anybody was playing tricks, nobody was behind me!! But the amazing haunted houses team calmed me down as it did quite scare me. Pen y Lan Hall is definitely haunted you have my word on that!

Well what can I say with out getting to excited…….it was AMAZING!!! My first official ghost hunt. Chris & his team (and the spirits) were professional, polite & welcoming, they took into consideration I had no experience on an organised event although I’m not a non believer in the spirit world I just didn’t know what to expect.
I did however have my first experience of the Ouija Board also…….I was blown away by this and I think my reaction was noticed by the team members & other guests…it was very over whelming and although the story was of a sad one it was intriguing too. I did feel & see things which Chris & the others weren’t aware of but other guests had said what they felt & heard or seen so I know I wasn’t alone in what some may think as our minds playing tricks.
It’s fair to say I will be going on another event, when & where who knows but I’m already looking forward to it….combined with my love of History I would highly recommend Haunted Houses as they can guide you through the experience of the spirit world!

Been on a couple ghost hunts before, first time with Haunted Houses and by far the best team.
