You will access to Three incredible tunnels, then next a plethora of rooms splintering off them giving you many areas to conduct your exciting ghost hunt.

Delve deep into the tunnels of Fort Purbrook and see what spirits still walk the dark foreboding tunnels in the dead of night! Phantom footsteps have been heard in the tunnels and dark shadows have been seen wandering in and out of the passageways. People have also reported stones being thrown, and shadow figures towering over them.

Haunted Houses Events knows that you like to work in small teams to give you the very best experience possible. For the very, very brave – lone vigils (ghost hunting in a room all alone) are very popular and opportunities to do so will be given if you choose – But be warned! Doing so in a dark, damp cell known for paranormal activity should only be for our more hardened investigators.

• – This location is not suitable for wheelchair users sorry
• – All attendees must be 16 years or older

• – This is a dark location with uneven flooring, all attendees must bring a torch with them
• – Sensible shoes at all times, and warm layered clothing is essential in cold weather

Venue History

Fort Purbrook is one of five forts built between 1861 and 1874 on the top of Portsdown Hill overlooking Portsmouth to protect the harbor from an impending invasion.
Throughout the years Fort Purbrook has been home to numerous regiments and housed many army personnel during WW2.
Portsmouth City Council In 1969 Portsmouth City Council brought Fort Purbrook and is now leased as an Activity Centre.
